Dust, sand, ice, etc. I would expect it to perform well, but seeing as even using an aftermarket trigger weight spring in the Tikka trigger can cause it to perform not as well in freezing rain conditions makes me wonder
Yes, it is important to have a very good pitch with the xmid in snow. Although it doesn't stretch as much as silnylon, it does still stretch a little and with the weight of heavy snow it can be problematic if your pitch isn't good.
However, it is easy to get a good pitch on relatively flat ground.
Yes I can see it causing problems if not used properly.
Something I found myself doing (subconsciously) trying to shoot both eyes open is focusing on the target instead of the blade. I'm sure that made the repeatability of my sight picture very poor
