The NDR mentioned above has been good for me so far (10 rounds and longer COAL). I ran 20 rounds through it the day it came in, and it worked great and I round another 50 or so through it over the weekend. I have a couple unreliable factory mags so I thought I might as well cannibalize the...
Haha, yeah.
In principle, I think it's reasonable to expect someone to know whose property they are hunting on, but it is legitimately hard sometimes, too. The apps are good, but they aren't perfect. Fence lines aren't perfect either. If someone posts a property as "private" and my app says...
Thanks for sharing your experience OP. I get it that it's the law, but the punishment doesn't seem proportional to me. Also appreciate others that have shared experiences. One thing I do wish is that when the laws were changed and the responsibilities on outdoorsmen were increased, that...
That magazine is not compatible with a factory Tikka. In order to use that magazine with a tikka, you'd need to convert to an AICS bottom metal or use a chassis that is AICS compatible.
I received it yesterday. Should have grabbed a comparison pic, but it's not much bigger than the factory 6 rd magazine. I ran 20 rounds through it, and everything fed smoothly. I'll see what I can do with it this weekend.
Based on my sample of one, and the comments I've read from others, I think it would be a waste. I imagine they'll fix them eventually, but I until I see a bunch of positive reports, I wouldn't touch them.
I've read a few positive reviews on the NDR mags so I picked up a couple, since Mamba...
It's tough to beat the logistics of 223 for volume bot gun practice. If you don't have one, that's the direction I'd go. If you already have one set up for that, I'd personally lean 22 arc for the extra speed.
I've posted in previous threads on the feeding issue. I've had what @Billy Goat describes happen and what you show in your picture. I have 2 of the factory flush fit magazines and one factory 6 round mag. The original magazine that came with my 223 has been perfectly reliable. The factory spares...
I've compared my crimped versus uncrimped reloads for accuracy a few times and uncrimped has won out each time. I think it's been three times, so not a lot, but more than none. As for the caveats, I used the same dies every time - Lee Pacesetter 223 dies - so that could introduce bias. I tried...
Unavailable yes, but I don't see where they are $$120. Maybe I'm missing something.

I haven't seen much here on the UM Tikka magazines. At one point I'm pretty sure 223 was going to be an option.
For my factory Tikka magazines, the one that originally...
I have one, too, and I really like it. Used a kinetic for years and greatly prefer the grip-n-pull. I haven't used a collet style. I could see them being easier if you have a bunch to pull. I usually just have a few here and there when I've done something dumb and the grip-n-pull is quick and...
I might have done that if I'd thought about it. Filing the shoulder of the screw cap was such an easy fix though. Just a few passes on the file and then I hit it with some cold blue. I didn't need much, maybe another half turn on the adjustment. Originally, I didn't want to alter the screw...
I had one that I couldn't get below 3 lb or so, but it was just because the adjustment screw had dead-headed on the screw that attaches the trigger to the action. I tried a replacement spring, but found they were lighter than I wanted so I just took a file to the edge of the screw cap and then...
