I’ve looked at a couple of those but I am really tough on my gear. Vortex warranty gives me peace of mind that I don’t think other brands would give me.
I really like the Vortex options. The Viper and Razor are both fast ranging and have some nice features. Vortex's warranty is obviously great. It seems like the lifespan of rangefinders are shorter due to the amount of electronics inside. That's why I think Vortex is a good buy.
I’m looking at getting a bigger pack for multi-day hunts and hikes. I know the Metcalf can do multi-day hunting but I’m curious if you all think it would work as well as an Osprey for multi-day hiking. Thoughts?
The First Lite gear would work well. You’ll want to layer though. You’ll have moments where you sit and glass and you’ll want the jack and bibs on. Then you are climbing mountains going after a deer and you’ll want it off.
Do you still have this pack? One is available near me and I’m wondering if this is still a good option or if I’m better off with something new like the Kuiu.
