    New Turkey Gun.......gimme your thoughts

I have a Tristar Viper .410 that I bought for duck hunting. I don't recommend them. They don't cycle some cartridges and ammo well. Can't speak for the 12 and 20's but the .410's are garbage IMO.

Custom rifle maker - recommendations wanted.

Another vote for TS Customs here. I went through this process a couple yrs ago and ultimately went with them. No complaints whatsoever. Travis answers his phone, is easy to work with and does quality work.

Funny how even some of the biggest SC fanboys have now seen the light.

Very happy with my Ethos 28 ga. What are you planning to use it for?

    Suppressor Opinion: Meh, It’s Ok

For the inexperienced, when an animal hunches up or mule kicks, you can tell he was hit DESPITE not being able to see the entrance wound or exact location where the bullet penetrated. That is seeing a "deer get hit" but not seeing the bullet entrance wound.

For the literacy-challenged. I've seen plenty of impacts in my hunting career and while I don't have a thousand kills under my belt with this new caliber/bullet combo, my initial impression is that the terminal ballistics of that bullet does not create the kind of impact that some of my...

Once again, showing reading comprehension is not your strong suit. Read post #243 again until you understand it. And your first paragraph proves that you don't know what you're talking about.

Laughable. No thanks. I'll stick with the caliber and gun that I'm confident in making consistent heart shots. Perhaps you should try it some time.

I respond in kind to the responses to my posts. This is hypocrisy at its best. Might wanna take a good look at your own posts sometime. This place gets more and more like FB every day. Soon, we'll need safe spaces for people who can't handle the truth or being called out for incorrect...

    Suppressor Opinion: Meh, It’s Ok

Not true. Both muleys were heart shot and travelled less than 50 yds. One left a minimal blood trail and the other left none. Both mule-kicked so I knew they were likely heart shot but bullet impact location was not seen on either one. Some lighter bullets just don't create the same terminal...

Once again, the voice of inexperience, or in this case ignorance speaks. I'm not hurt at all, just amused by the fact that you think you're the expert and clearly aren't. Two of the deer were muleys. Only one was a WT and that was the one that dropped in its tracks. I know one/yr is probably...

    Suppressor Opinion: Meh, It’s Ok

Once again, the voice of inexperience speaks. I now primarily shoot a 6.5 PRC 140g Berger. 3 deer killed this season. One dropped in its tracks. The other two were heart shots that didn't run 50 yds(yes, I said RUN even though a suppressor was used). Both were lethal kills obviously but...

    Suppressor Opinion: Meh, It’s Ok

This thread has turned downright hilarious with the suppressor prima donna's chiming in and trying to defend their choice. I've decided that most suppressor users on this thread are akin to flyfishermen.
