New SG bino harness is on the way ...

I like my original SG bino harness so I don't have enough of a need to buy a new version. The one exception I have with the old unit is something inside where my binos sit was making a wierd noise this past year while I was still hunting down this game trail. It annoyed me the whole afternoon...

    Pack additions

Thanks mtwarden, that's an interesting addition to help you carry it closely and deploy it faster. If I'm hunting, I have it in my hands but it's the hike in/out that I need to work on better. Maybe I'll come up with something like what you have.

I also use the SG rifle sling but I seem to have trouble with it flopping around at times. Sometimes I get it just right and tight but other times the barrel slides down to far to be secured by the quick release strap. Have you noticed that issue?

    Pack additions

I have almost all the Stone Glacier pack accessories they offer which totals around 19 ozs so there is a price to pay in weight, however, I like everything organized. I don't have the time to customize myself so I buy what is available. The Stone Glacier Access Bag (900 cu in) is my favorite...

    Well....I've had enough

Great job in sticking with your plans for better health and what a better way than training with your dog. Now loosing weight doesn't seem so much like a chore but a joy instead. Movement is key so keep the miles ticking by and keep to your diet and you'll be feeling so much better come the...

    Photography- one photo a day

I think I know that Subway, if it's the correct one, it's my first stop from coming off the nearby mountain. That picture tells a really cool story, congrats.

How to catch an untrapable mouse.

I wish I could say congrats but my gut feeling is that little buck tooth monster wasn't the culprit..... feeling like a sequel is coming, sorry! Or I just need something to read until the month long wait for the CO tag draw happens, lol. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

What would you say is the wildest part of Colorado?

My cousin lives off the grid a couple miles east of Crawford, CO, up a dead end road. When you drive to the end of the road, he says that it's 55 miles of wilderness between there and Crested Butte. I would love to hike that some day. He's spent some time hiking in there. He works in Crested...

    Outdoor sprinkler PVB

If you layer it slowly you can fill it then test it to see if it holds and it can be permanent. Closing the gap on the split is key and getting it clean. Ball peen hammer to gently bend it back to form. It would be real easy with an oxygen/acetylene torch but you can do it with flux and solder...

ucsdryder, if you were close enough I would come over and help you with your learning curve. If you haven't started your repairs yet you will want to wrap the fitting coming from the house with a wet rag first to keep, what I assume is wood siding, from getting scorched. Solder melts at pretty...

The death of the retail store

I was overwhelmed at all the fishing lures they used to have in the fishing catalog. Ordered lots of them, most didn't work, lol. My coffee table, in my single days, was filled with all their various catalogs when I lived in AK, back when Cabela's club card was the cool thing. I still have a...
