    I would go 3rd season. Depending on the unit, by the 4th season the deer could be mostly on private ground.

    At this point all the deer have migrated to their winter grounds . Usually lower elevation. You might try contacting the biologist for your area.

    You guys can apply for tags as a group so that If one guy draws you all draw. Colorado has several hunts you can get with no points.

    We always take one enclosed trailer with all the camp stuff. Once camp is set up we use it to lock up any antlers we've taken. No worries going to town if no one is in camp.

    Yeah, I haven't seen it in quite awhile. I've stocked up on the regular IMR 7828. It works fine. I just finish off each cartridge with the powder trickler.

    You may want to try IMR7828 for a little more velocity. You are on the right track with those 200 gr. ACCUBONDS in your 300 Weatherby especially if they group well. I also like the Partitions in my 300.

    Here is the only offset mount I have. I really like it and will do it again should I ever get another mounter.

    Here's a tall California buck that came down to the D5 foothills last fall for the rut. I hope he spread his genes !
