    Truck question - Nissan Titan.

The relation to Elk hunting is tenuous but I would be using the truck to hunt.... Anybody have significant problems with later-model Nissan Titans? They look nice and they seem to be about 20% less expensive that most other trucks are currently running. It sounds like they don't hold resale...

CO OTC hunter numbers with unit change

I have hunted in the north-central Colorado area for the past 4 seasons. I don't know what hunter numbers looked like prior to that time but it has been significantly increased since my first year. I would say at least 50% more vehicles and people.

Would a side arm be necessary? Also what caliber?

I've only got three seasons of Colorado/western hunting experience so I an still a newbie too but... You will probably sleep better if you have it (especially if you are solo) but after a few days/miles you'll start to wonder if you really need the extra 2+ pounds on your belt. I will carry...

Idaho Archery - Bear River Zone

Floorless shelter. Rattlesnakes. Idaho. New Mexico.

Thanks guys. In Idaho I'd probably be from the Sun Valley area to the Utah line. I thought I had heard a podcast about one of the Exo death hikes in Idaho where they were dodging rattlesnakes left and right but I don't know where they were.

Floorless shelter. Rattlesnakes. Idaho. New Mexico.

I have only backpack hunted in Colorado camping in the 9-11,000 foot range. I've used a floorless shelter the past two seasons in September. I've not had any critter issues except for mosquitoes in the summer. Over the next few years I'll probably find my self in central-south Idaho and...
