  • Great moose story! If you want to keep the air charter company confidential I completely get it - but it can't hurt to ask. Do you mind telling me who you used and what you thought of them?

I completely get it. If it's posted on here on a regular basis, it's not too much of a secret anyway. Loved your story. Super cool! Take Care!

not sure why i didn't see this previously, but yes, I prefer to not directly disclose the air charter as they are so hard to find and have such limited capacity.
hey - I saw your post about your alaska moose hunt and have to ask, what did Fish and Game do? I made a mistake on a moose hunt 12 years ago myself. Shot a 50 inch bull on a float hunt. River was low. Weight was a concern. A local told me I could leave the ribs and neck to save on weight. I listened to him and got pinched. I'll never make that mistake again. Bad decision on my part. They took everything + $1000

again, not sure why i didn't notice this b4, your referencing other than perhaps the air taxi forcing me to split horns?. basically AKF&G said your air taxi's rule doesn't trump theirs, so if I split a not 4 brow bull, them I am breaking the law. didn't have time to find dif taxi, so we flew w/him knowing it was a 4 brow hunt. luckily, the only legal moose we saw, and harvested, was a 4 brow bull.
