Welcome to N.Idaho. Lived in N.Idaho and spend a lot of time there. Moving back in January and would like to meet you. I previously owned an outfitting business in Idaho and know some good places to hunt.
I live on Northern Idaho and kill a cat most years. Often when hunting deer or elk I see them. If I find a fresh kill I'll set up a blind. Occasionally while calling coyotes a cat will come in. If you find a fresh track in the snow you may be able to kill one. There's plenty around, but with the...
I was the last outfitter to operate in unit 6.
I can tell you that if your expecting to see herds of elk you'll be disappointed. However, there are small groups of elk to be found, usually 3 or 4 together. Find the thickest most remote patch and you'll find elk. There are tons of hunters but...

Most contractors are honest and can be trusted but be careful. We had a crew from Home Depot installatiing carpeting in our house and they made some comments about some saddles I had. The following weekend we went away and
I live on a farm and the only access road is right in front of my neighbors house. He's retired and doesn't miss anything. That and the fact that I have two great Pyrenees that weigh over 130 lbs. and hate strangers make me rather confident that my guns are safe.
