I started testing the Nimrod Folding Pack Frame earlier this spring (In the Field: Nimrod Pack Systems) along with the Pinnacle Pack and Base Lumbar Day Pack.
Recently, I got out again to try the Folding Pack Frame under an 80-pound load. While the pack performed well, I also discovered the relative ease in switching between the various bags and accessories for which Nimrod is noted. I don’t like details and complicated gear usually means lots of them. I like gear I can figure out in the field without instructions. Nimrod didn’t disappoint.
So far, I’m happy with the system’s versatility, comfort, and durability. Here’s a four-minute video review.
Feel free to post any questions in the comment section. Myself or James Turner from Nimrod will answer.
