These are BFN. I put the neckstrap and lens covers on before playing with them for a few hours. These arrived in the country from Zeiss at the end of June, so about as recent production as there is. Never been in the field, first owner, etc., and haven't registered them with Zeiss (if thats a thing?).

They're nice, just not a good fit for me.

1900 to my door gets these to yours.

Just a bad combo between my face and this model. With cups fully extended and glass comfortably up, I'm exactly half way between a diopter detent, making my left eye dominant. If my face was different in any way or my eyes were different by 1/8th power I'd be set. I do have a bit of astigmatism developing in my right eye, so yet another reason to chalk it up as a problem unique to me.

Also these balance incredibly nice if you hold them the way they want you to. Happens to not be how I like to hold them. Glass and construction are perfect, they just take a little more work to get them to behave perfectly for this guy.

Normally half a diopter click would not matter, but they are able to clear stuff up so well that it is obvious that they arent set exactly right. With any lesser glass it would go unnoticed.

All messages answered (except the "call me but it's actually my cousin's number and he wants some info" thing).

Still available last I checked.

Be cautious I asked what BFN was and how he paid $1900 for these new and he had some snarky response.

I think maybe you got in a mood over something with your interaction. It’s probably not fair to say “Be cautious”. I received a very detailed explanation of why he is selling. His ad also does not say that he paid 1900, it says 1900 to his door is what he will sell them for.

In his defense, I was snarky; In mine, it was a nosey question that put words in my mouth, independent of any "dealings." I didn't even have to use the swear jar.

Since 1900 is getting quoted a bit, just wanted to make clear that they're $1800 per post #5.

Same-ish day shipping for buyer who can stay in his own lane. Happy to answer and questions on the binos, but besides my impressions there probably isn't much more I can offer.

* disclaimer- BFN is getting less and less true every minute.
* I did pull them out to check out the moon last night.
* No moon-discount.

At Fins' suggestion, I'll be taking some well deserved R&R to fly a kite, and may be away from my desk for a while.

good to know. Yeah after re-reading I get his play on words. For some reason when I first read it I took it as they were $1900 to his door so he’s selling for $1900 to your door.

Update: Ryan messaged my with an apology and that says a lot about him. We all have had a bad day or two, god knows I have, and been a little brash with someone that wasn't warranted.

I hold zero hard feelings and wish the best and a quick sale of his binos. And I learned something as well. When asking questions include more context so the reader doesn't have to form opinions about the question.
