Zeiss SFL or Maven B6

Trying to decide which new binoculars to purchase. Two options that I’m currently looking at are the:
Maven B6 12x50
Zeiss SFL 12x50
Does anyone have any experience with either?
I’m also open to other suggestions in that price range as well.

Not apples to apples exactly but I did own both 10x40SFL and 10x42B1.2 at the same time and compared them extensively for a few weeks and could not tell any difference in optic quality between them.

I went with the SFL's only because of size and weight savings and the best damn focus knob in the business!

Hope this helps.

I compared both and went maven. They may have been equal optically, but even if the Zeiss were slightly better, the maven value was significantly better comparing new pricing.

Off a tripod, they are awesome for late season elk. The money I saved bought me 8x30 B3's for east coast archery deer hunting.

I’ve not compared the 2 specific models mentioned, but with Zeiss drastically scaling back their sport optics operations and their spotty track record with customer service and support, I wouldn’t invest in anything they’re selling. they’re now running their sport optics business no different from leupold, vortex, etc and outsourcing everything to be built by an OEM to their spec and putting their name on it. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, lots of great optics have come to the market that way. But it dulls the appeal of what makes the European brands special. Now they’re just doing what everyone else is doing, but still charging for their name, which kills the value for me.
