Came home from a family reunion with the girlfriend and saw a groundhog in the field across from the house. She said she wanted to try and shoot him but the only ammo I had loaded and zeroed was the 110 Vmax in my 270. Got her set up on the bipod (out of the bedroom window) at about 200 and told her to aim middle back as he was laying down facing away from us. At the shot he popped up out of the hole and then disappeared. He ended up either lurching or flying from his hole he was in to the other one he dug next to it face first. She's shot a number of deer and a grey fox but this was her first varmint. I'll be setting up the 8tw 223 with 69 TMK for her to use for the rest of the summer because she enjoyed this a lot.
Gun later shot a raccoon at about 40yds on his way to the chicken coop. The 110 Vmax is the most "killingest" bullet I've loaded.
