XTL on older Stone Glacier Solo

I have been working on getting a lid for my older SG Solo bag. The Stone Glacier guys were not able to make a quick attachment method for the Sky lid onto the older bags, so I went this way.

I think the XTL offers a little more utility for a small penalty in weight. I would not plan to have this lid on other than to pack in and out.

I am working on stitching a small loop at the bottom straps so i can just have a G-hook that pops on and off quickly, but it is completely functional as is.

Just thought i would share to show how easy and functional this setup is.

Grerat job- that looks like it will work great.

I do the exact samething, and the same way with a Kif. Longhunter lid when I need some extra space. I thought of it a couple years ago when I got my SG Solo, and I had an extra LH lid. It works very well, This was way before they even had the Sky series out. I also like my original Solo with the sewn in load shelf already there.
