It’s a short action. Sorry about that. For the other question above. I was going to order another stock but held off. I have 2 other chassis, so just thinning the heard. Hopefully will save someone some money and some wait time.

I have one on order already for a R700. What is your total weight on that setup?

As this rifle sits, it’s 11#5oz on my scale.

It is a tikka T3x veil in 270wsm with one 3 round AICS mag. The veil has a heavier profile barrel than the regular tikkas.

20 moa rail
Vortex pro rings
Vortex 4.5-22x50 scope
Simple Caldwell bipod

It’s shooting sub MOA out to 300 yds so far, with factory trigger lightened a bit. My 12yr old son is able to shoot it well too. It has hardly any recoil in this configuration.

I’ll have to check on the weight. I believe the chassis is 22oz, the buttstock/buffer tube is 22-23oz and the hand grip is 4.5-5oz.

For the other question on short/long action. I think it is due to the mag well length.

Yep, and that weight above also includes a pic rail underneath the bipod and a rail to sling stud adapter. I know not very efficient but I had it all on hand and threw it together for elk hunting and never did change it up since it worked.
