Wyoming elk with 4 points

I currently have 4 points for Wyoming and am looking for advice on if that’s enough to get into a food archery unit with an outfitter. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I would probably bet general would be your only/best option. Don't let that fool you, there is good hunting in general units all across the state.

Keep in mind, past draw odds do not guarantee future draw odds. There is NO way to know how many points will be required next year as there is no way to know how many people will apply. Quite a few people are discussing burning points with the 90/10 discussion going on.

Go ahead and cash in on the general while you can and start building points again. At the current pace, general may be a 5pt tag in a few more years.

Hunted the general tag w/ a buddy for the first time this year. We had a great hunt and had lots of opportunity.
