WTB WTB .250 Savage Ammo

Update: I found and purchased 2 boxes from a little gun store in NM. They are being shipped. Thank you to all who offered tips and to Oilfieldmiller who generously offered to help. I'm looking forward to this hunt. Hope to find my friend a bull of a lifetime.


I have a older friend who is going on his "last" elk hunt this year. He was planning on using his fathers .250-3000 Savage and thought he had 2 boxes of ammo. Turns out those 2 boxes were actually 22-.250 Remington. I'm looking to buy a couple boxes for him. If anyone knows where I can find a couple boxes or has some they'd be willing to sell me I'd appreciate the help. I'm in the Phoenix area but would gladly pay for shipping.

I was part of a Savage Model 99 page on Facebook. Lots of talk of .250-3000 cartridges. Might want to try there.

Unfortunately, I think it is going to be hard to find these on the shelf anywhere, and finding anyone to sell you some of there stock may also be a challenge. I don’t think this round is in production anymore.

I have a Savage 99 chambered in .303 Savage of my great grandfathers. I had to buy ally RJ reloading components to be able to use this rifle.
