Wow-Two dudes cmp PCT winter thru hike

Two hikers just completed a north to south thru hike of the PCT. They started on Oct 21. They certainly picked a good year but still super impressive feat to me. I'd love to hear a gear review of what worked and what got ditched

If I had the time, I'd love to hike the PCT, but maybe not in the winter though. Summer of 2016 in doing the JMT, it was hard enough to get a month off of work, let along 6 months.

Mild winter or not that's a damn fine accomplishment.

Wow that's impressive. I had the time of my life doing the JMT in '08, but that was in the summer.

Incredible. I've been snowed on at Duck lake in August. As impressive as that feat is....it would have likely ended in another tragedy in a "normal" year. Snowfall totals along that route can be absurd.

I would love to have the time to be able to thru-hike the PCT, AT, or the CDT. What an accomplishment. Wild is on my list of books to read.
