Hey all,

I have a killer lightweight tripod setup. This combo comes in at just 2 lbs 3 oz! Carried for a season so there are some slight scuffs here and there but nothing that affects functionality. Head comes with both the carbon fiber handle as well as the replacement knob if you prefer to run it that way and the small footprint Arca plate. I replaced the oversized, heavy plate at the top of the tripod with the lighter part normally mounted to the bottom of the center tube. I have done this modification to every Slik I've owned and it works as good as the original while cutting 2oz.

Free bump for what is in my opinion the best most perfect tripod & head combo, and a great price too. Swap out the center column for a carbon tube from Amazon and you can get this down to right about 2lbs total weight. Tall to enough to glass standing up and it'll handle up to 85mm spotters with ease.

100% I have bought 18mm OD Carbon tubes on amazon and replaced the center column to save some weight as well. This one has the original aluminum but that would be a good way to get it under 2lbs!
