During my winter reading, I ran across some dall sheep conversation:

Rod & Gun In Canada February, 1918 Fifteen Cents

The page is so aged that I can't get a legible copy.

Anyway,.....a party was hunting with Jack Hubrick, a guide out of McCarthy in Eastern Wrangells and took 17 Dall Sheep.

They measured spread across tips for most part but one measured 49-1/4" on the curl.

I can't get the picture to enlarge enough to read anything, any chance we can get you to paraphrase. I love browsing old magazines to see the dilemma's they faced back then, and the similarities and differences with the challenges we face today.

Chuck Pease found a 52 inch single horn from a dead head up the Hanagita River in the early 1970s. There have been, are and will be big sheep in that area.
