Will elk be in the general same area in June until now?

While out bear hunting in June I drove to a new area. It is farthest spot from my house. I did end up finding a lot of cow elk and spikers on some new cut lines with good grass feed. Just wondering if they would only use this area as a calving area? Is it worth spending time up there for the elk rut? Have been to all my regular spots and elk have gone quiet now and I am running out of vacation time

In my area of CO, the answer is usually “no” -June patterns are completely different than Sept.

The cows and calves will be in the same area until they get pushed out by weather or hunting pressure.
