Was thinking just a day hike and Scotchman again or we go further up the road slightly into Montana up squaw peak...basically same climb with view of Bull river.

The squaw peak trail is about 7 miles inside of Montana after you go through Clark Fork on the same divide of Mountains as Scotchman, another 20 minutes up the road from Clark Fork.... I was looking at 6/14 or 6/28 and a single day hike for me.........

Ross,

I'm not finding a Squaw Peak in the vicinity of where you are talking about.

There is a Squaw Peak near Flathead lake, but it has been renamed. That one is a whole lot further than 7 miles past Clark Fork.

Right next to the Big Eddy campground the squaw peak trail starts. It is a quad trail for 2.5 miles then forest service trail for the balance of the hike...my vote is Scotchman on Saturday

I think that peak has been renamed Star peak.
