1. Mossberg shockwave - ( cool factor )
2. Glock 20 10mm - bear side arm, etc
3. New binos - vipers, mavens c1s etc

Wife buggin me about fathers day gift and these are what I am stuck on. Hahaha

My shockwave is pretty cool. If you are looking to stop a bear it will beat the glockenspiel all day long.

I have a 35 yr sawed off old mossberg pump

I love my G20

I wouldn't use Vortex bino's if you gave then to me [yep, admitted optics snob here]

So I can't help you with your question.....balance your needs and desire and that should answer your Q.

If you get a shockwave it’ll make 2, maybe 3 range trips then you’ll never use it again. Ask me how I know...

I’ve been spending a lot of time in griz country last couple years and just picked up a g20 a couple months ago. I also have a pair of Mavens, they are super binos, I like them so much better than the Vortex they replaced. I can’t really comment on that shotgun, I don’t how there is really any practical value in that whatsoever.
If you are spending time in griz country, pick up the g20. If you need new binos, get those. Either way you should be happy

Anything but Vortex binos or the shockwave....not saying don't get binos or a shotgun just not those.

Skip the shock wave. The cool factor wears off pretty quick.

Sorry, not a 10mm fan

So i guess that leaves optics. If it was me, I would ask for Cabela's gift cards in the amount of her choosing. Keep asking for more cards at every gifting holiday then use them for a really nice pair of binos.

The Canadian in me says Glock all the way. If you can carry one, do it. I can't but would.

As it stands I have an 870 with a butt stock and a 14" barrel I carry in bow season for bear defence. Odd that we can carry those and you can't though. I would like to pick up a shockwave and put a butt stock on to replace my 870. I find the mag release in a much better spot on the mossberg. I couldn't imagine shooting one with the raptor grip. I'm a married man so I have strong wrists and I'd still be afraid of the recoil in my wrist ;)

I don't know about the Mavens but I'd buy some Nikon M5 binos over vortex vipers any day and save some money and still have better binoculars.

Of what you listed, get the g20. I’m trying to get my wife to get me a stainless tikka 300wsm or a Fred bear trad bow.
