What's your minimum distance from road/trail that you find elk?

played cat and mouse with this guy all around my camp last year this picture was taken about 100 yards from my camp. Had an entire herd decide to stop at my camp night before opening day, I blew it to say the least, but will probably never experience that again

No I didn't see any real sign within a mile of my camp, a couple tracks that were a couple days old but that was all. I counted 128 beds within 200 yards of camp. Should have waited until daylight to open tent door, but lesson learned.

This one was 120 yds off the road.

I guess these guys are rebels and didn't want to listen to the minimum distance.

Those fellers aren't in Wyoming by chance are they? These guys hang out around the highway. My dad saw 5 in the group
