What's in your kill kit?

Bunch of threads on topic. One here

In mine
Fixed blade knife
Havalon and 2 blades
Game bags
25’ of 550 cord
A plastic sheet about 3’x4’
Pen
Zip tie
Tiny ziploc for tag (paper tags in my home state)
Gallon ziploc
Baby wipe
2x latex gloves
Couple small sheets of paper
Cloth tape measure (to measure chest circumference for estimating weight—b/c no one cares about antler score here)

Dont always use everything, but most is so light I pretty much always bring it. If I drag can use the 550 cord doubled or tripled. If I carry I use the game bags. Gloves are great for cold wx and easy cleanup as well as keeping crap out of open cuts, I seem to always have minor cuts and scratches on my hands. I carry some electric tape wrapped around barrel most times for the muzzle, often use that for tag. Gallon ziploc for the heart. Paper for labels to be legal packing if we split loads. Plastic sheet is really nice to have a clean place to set a piece of meat on if solo, since I dont have 3 hands.

Micro Gerber folder.
550 cord for hanging.
Latex gloves.

In bear country keeping a clean camp includes keeping food smells off your clothes - without gloves everything your hand brushes against gets a smear of dry blood.
