I do. They aren’t scared of the big bad people that are differenter.

That is just about the stupidest comment I have ever seen. If you want to try gaslighting everyone and pretending like there isn't a problem that's fine, but understand that the rest of the world has their eyes open.

What does another person's identity or preferences have to do with my life?

Or your feelings on if people do or don't hunt in 200 years?

Sorry I helped divert the topic for a bit there.

My biggest concern for 200 (or less) years from now isn’t if folks are interested. It’s loss of the ability to hunt and generally enjoy the outdoors as we know them, due to habitat loss caused by several things. I’ll not get into the “why” part of habitat loss so as not to start a whole new side debate 😉

It happens, I personally enjoy a good tangent as well.

Yeah... That's actually probably a lot more likely.

And honestly a way more interesting discussion than the one that generally happens of "Gotta protect our rights! 2a! Hunters saved wildlife!"

When did I indicate in any way that I thought it does? I could not care less what a grown adult decides to do with their lives.

What I have a SIGNFICANT problem with is indoctrinating and convincing CHILDREN that reality is not reality.

Again, please put your head in the sand and pretend it isn't a problem despite the teen suicide rate exploding in the last few years which, just coincidentally, is the exact time period that a group of people went on a campaign to convince them that they were born into the wrong body.

Your position is absurd in every possible way.

You should probably try actually getting to know some people who aren't like you.

They aren't actually that different.
Hilarious that you would presume to know the variety of folks that I do know and associate with in various capacities. I mean seriously what are the chances that ones opinions might in fact be based on exposure and direct contact rather than some observed social media bias.

If denial of biology doesn't meet your threshold for "actually that different", I would seriously be curious as to what does.

At some point we need to start ignoring bigots. It’s challenging to not point out the fact that their monsters are imaginary. But we gotta stop giving them a platform. If we could learn to fight them where it counts (in the courts and voting booths) and ignore them where they are just ranting they will eventually find something else to be pointlessly mad about. Maybe they’ll move on to the fake birds? @Btaylor, do your part and go shoot down some gummint drones aka/go duck hunting 😉

Wow, what a hot take! People who disagree with you are BIGOTS and RACISTS and we need to take away their PLATFORM!

Typical lefty response when you can't actually argue your points in anway lets just start calling names and asking for censorship so that people can't inject reality into these discussions because REALITY IS RACIST!

Only a snowflake could be so easily triggered.

From the Oxford English Dictionary

Or, for you, “dic shun air e”

bigot /ˈbɪɡət /
▸ noun a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group:
don't let a few small-minded bigots destroy the good image of the city
a racist bigot.
– ORIGIN late 16th century (denoting a superstitious religious hypocrite): from French, of unknown origin.

By now. 👋

So much impact to your daily life.

I can't believe that you have to deal with the constant onslaught of trans women.

This here is the problem, and you're doing it too (just like Wyobohunter, the media, this administration, and the left).......a lot of folks seem to think that this is about the actual transgenders or other alphabet community folks. It is NOT. That is just a deflection technique to distract from the real problem. Make everything about racism, homophobia, and bigotry and the real issues still go unnoticed to many and definitely unresolved. And as soon as the real issues are raised the deflections just keep coming. That's much like the old nursery school technique of "I know you are, but what am I".

I don’t think it’s worth the time or energy to engage with knuckle draggers. I was tempted to ask what the “real” issues are. Probably some real serious stuff like: how the earth is actually flat, the moon landing was fake and the government is putting chemicals in the water to turn the frogs gay.

So much of the conversation about hunting is the focus on R3, preserving rights, etc...

But why?

If in 100-200 years hunting had faded away NOT because of governmental regulations, loss of access, social pressure etc... Generations just faded away from engaging in it for whatever reason. Life changes. The way we live would be almost unrecognizable to someone from 150-200 years ago.

Why do you care? We will be dead and gone, as will our kids and grandkids. Why is it important that others we'll never know continue to do things that we enjoy?

Do you care that hunting rights and conservation practices were put into place hundreds of years ago, so that you and I are able to hunt today?

Because it sounds like you do not appreciate it at all, nor those who fought to save it.

I don’t know how old you are and what you have witnessed in your life but the reason most of those who push the narrative of conservation and protecting our hunting rights are older, is because most people don’t get it until they have unnecessary government restriction strip them of opportunities they used to have. Or they have to personally watch pieces of the earth they have grown to love, get leveled and developed.

A love and appreciation for this lifestyle isn’t something we are born with, it is something that is cultivated. Perhaps some of us just aren’t there yet, or will never get there. That’s fine I guess…

How does it help people?

If people in 100 years aren't asking questions or seeing value in whatever you see as the help that it gives... Why is that bad?

That’s like saying that proper diet and exercise don’t have value, simply because the majority of Americans don’t participate or choose not to pay attention to the benefits of it.

If you want to know the benefits of hunting, look into the research that shows the correlation between mental health and spending time in nature. Or the benefits of regularly contemplating one’s mortality(the connection to life/death in hunting facilitates this in many people whether they are conscious of it or not). How being self-reliant makes people feel more secure and confident. Lastly, how beneficial it is to eat high quality animal protein. Well, I guess I can really grasp for straws and bring up grounding as well…

Does everyone that hunts enjoy these benefits? I can’t say for sure, but I think they all do to some degree. Obviously the guys road hunting drinking beers are likely not getting the same connection with nature as someone who backpacks in and sleeps on the mountain…

Is hunting the ONLY way to obtain these benefits? Absolutely not, but it is certainly my preferred way and I hope in 100 years it is still someone else’s preferred way, whether I know them or not…

I quit reading when you brought up hunting rights and conservation practices being put into place hundreds of years ago.

Because that's flat out wrong.

Yellowstone was established in what 1872? That's more than a hundred by a good bit. And that is only recognizing conservation established by white folks that showed up here uninvited. There seems to be a pretty widely accepted conservation ethic historically recognized in native american cultures of taking only what was needed and living in harmony with the land. I'm not real sure what year that started but it seems pretty safe to bet it was pre-yellowstone.
