Have a western MT Moose tag this year. Lived here all my life, seen pleanty of moose. Tag is for an area I hunt regularly for deer and elk. With a low draw statistic this is my first and possibly only ever tag. Just wanted to see if anyone had any pointers or help to offer? Season runs Sep 7 - 14 for archery. Sep 15- Dec 1 for rifle. Why’ll I will throw my bow in for the week why’ll scouting I don’t plan on actually bow hunting. I work bridge construction, so I only have weekends until mid October. Then I will be laid off and have as much time as I want to hunt.
Any info from previous tag holders or helpers is much appreciated. Bulls in this area have made book for both Pope and Boone. Why’ll of course I want to shoot one of those. The standard is not set on that.
