Hey, good luck on the hunt. Later in the winter you can take a horse drawn sleigh ride on the refuge and get right among the elk.

Good luck! I wish the temps here were about 40 degrees cooler for you but there's nothing you can do about that! I did see a group of 50-70 bison just to the north of the Refuge yesterday so maybe they'll be moving a bit regardless.

Thanks. Yeah, I've seen video of a sleigh ride. Crazy that the elk are so calm and let the sleigh get so close.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm all geared up for subzero temps and it looks like it might be fairly decent. I think there's supposed to be a snow moving through this weekend though. Keep me updated on anything you're seeing if you don't mind. Unfortunately, with the holidays coming, it's pretty much next week for the hunt as I would hate to wait until January. But, January can be a backup plan if necessary.

I'll let you know if I see anything. I got my cow on the VERY last day of the season a few years ago. The weather did not cooperate that year and I was fully prepared to eat tag soup. You probably already know this but the folks at the WYGF office in Jackson are tremendously helpful on telling hunters where the bison have been. Give them a call if you haven't.
