I won a Mark V in a raffle and now I need to get a scope on it to hopefully put it to use this year.I don't plan on shooting beyond 500 yards, as I'm currently only comfortable to 300. I'm evaluating the following:

Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44
Athlon Ares ETR 3-18x50
Burris Veracity 4-20x50
Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50

I can't break the bank so I'm looking between 500-1k. Any insights or recommendations are appreciated!

I put a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14x40 with 30mm tube in my Weathermark LT 6.5 RPM. Has the CDS dial too. Very lightweight scope to go with the lighter weight gun. Haven’t shot it yet but it’ll shoot the distances you’re wanting to no problem. I have the Viper 4-16x50 on another rifle and like the scope, but it is definitely it rly bulkier than the Leupold. I also think Leupold glass is better than the Viper for close to same price range. Good luck!

Take a look at the Athlon Helos BTR FFP scopes. I just got a 2-12x42 and adore it. I still get a 4-20x50 as soon as I can find one for another rifle. MIL/MIL, illuminated, zero stop, locking turrets. Best feeling turrets I’ve ever had in the below $1000 category, and I got the 2-12 for $425 brand new.

Leupold, they charge us an arm and a leg up here for them, but there reasonably priced down there, made in America, great scopes, great warranty, seems pretty simple, what am I missing?
