My brother and I are trying to figure out the best way to stay in touch in the field in the event that we split ways to divide and conquer. I've got an inReach Mini 2 and he bought the Garmin Messenger. Is there a way to share the auto-recorded waypoints with each other via the satellite communicators? I know we can post waypoints to an external facing map in the app/website, but my understanding is that each of those would require cellular service in the field to be able to see them.
I guess we would be able to send messages with waypoints attached to them and be able to receive those via the satellites, but I don't know how easy that would be to find someone in the field via a coordinate without a visual map. Any thoughts?
