I have always wanted to layout boat hunt, especially up here in the salt. Just adds alot more logistics then hunting off of points. Would be much easier to get into the white wing scoters and old squaws with layout boats.

I've always wanted to get on some wood ducks in flooded timber. I can't imagine how much fun that would be.

When the migratory wood ducks move through, our pecan flats are covered up, and every slough with 6 inches of water is loaded with woodrows. Doesn't take long to limit out. Best tasting duck that there is. You are correct, it is a blast

It takes a ton of work and equipment, and weather has to cooperate. But is a blast if you ever get a chance!

We hunt both. This was the sound. I prefer Kbay but its a lot longer drive. And i dont really like hauling my boat over the pass after mid october.
