So I washed it and tumble dried it on low and it looked like it was missing all the down in the body. I threw some tennis balls in the drier with it and it helped a little bit I still dont feel the loft like I did before. Any tips?

I'm curious about this too. So far, my plan has always been to wash my down stuff every 10 years...whether it need it or not.

I have in the past washed my water-repellant down stuff,, from experience it is my option that it best worn and dried, I don't wash mine just tumble to fluff and dry when I get back, let it air out if it smells too bad. It is hunting gear, game will smell you anyway and friends should not mind. :)

Trust me when I say, stuff can only get so dirty before it starts to fall off and look clean again. :)

I've washed my Superdown Jacket twice in the past year. I washed on the gentle/delicate/handwash cycle with Nathan Sport Wash. Put in the dryer with two large cotton towels and it came out like new both times and the down didnt absorb any water. If you must wash, I'd reommend Nathan Sport Wash or Nikwax Down wash and do it on the most gentle setting in a front loading washer only.
