So I think I know a few of the companies, but while watching The Gritty Bowmen, Aron said that MSR which is Casacades Design is anti-hunting that's why he doesn't use them. I was looking for a list of the companies so I can avoid using them. I searched on here and didn't find anything. Anything that anyone can add would be great.

Would like to know this as well. If a big part of your business is coming from hunters but you despise what we use your products for, then we shouldn't support them. IMO.

I already try to only buy from places that lean my way politically (or donate that way).. I think buying from non-antihunters is also a good idea

Am a firm believer of the old axiom, belive only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. Someone has agendas against every company out there and can further their cause on the internet.tread cautiously

I know I've seen a link somewhere on Rokslide about a guy who contacted a bunch of outdoor companies for their views on hunting but can't seem to find it.

It states right on Patagonias site that they support wolf reintroduction. That is enough for me not to spend my money on their gear. First Lite, Kuiu and Under Armour get my clothing budget.

Thanks for the link, I was looking for more along the lines of who they support. I'm sure alot of companies say they love hunters but if you give money to Peta or any of the other organizations that try and stop hunting they I would say they are bad.

Per the podcast they won't sponsor a hunter as they wont publicly support the hunting lifestyle.

I don't see not publicly supporting hunting as the the same as being anti hunter. There are a few hunting based companies that won't send out pro hunting emails/literature.
I noticed they sponsored cedar river bowmen back in '12.
Again I'm not saying they are for or against, but has anyone asked to see if they will lean one way or the other? Do they donate to antis? Maybe I should listen to the podcast.

+1

I'd also caution against labeling a company anti-hunting because they once donated to a organization that used to have a light affiliation with a wild deer adoption agency. Most of these companies are so large that if a marketing exec agrees to give $1000 to an environmental group so they can get their logo on a race banner or something, that doesn't make the company anti-hunting.

And I don't mean MSR....I don't know anything about them. I'm just saying I've heard people boycott a company because they donated some hats to a PETA state fair booth once. A friend of mine is now boycotting Taco Bell because one Taco Bell manager in Iowa asked some guy to leave because he was open carrying a hand gun. That doesn't make the whole company anti-hunting or anti-gun.
