well we all here about the legendary customer service of vortex but i only recent;y put that to the test myself. and i can sum it up in one word, amazing. as some of you may recall i had a help post on here for some sand i got in the twist up eye cups of my razor 10x42's that i couldn't get cleaned out. well taking the advice of sending it back in for service was what i did. i sent them in with a service card explaining the problem and asking if they could clean them up for me, i also took the opportunity to send in my ranger 1000 range finder, earlier last year i was having trouble getting ranges over 600 with it and side by side with Brocks i could not match the ranges he was getting. so in they both went with service cards. that was Jan 6th i believe, i just got them back. now i fully expected to have nice clean binos. got that and more. return card read

" clean ECA, replace oculars, check operations to factory spec- no charge"

replace oculars! i got sand in there, no defect what soever on there part and they just replace with brand new eyepieces...wow.
as for the range finder in the shipping box was a brand new in plastic ranger 1000 range finder. " replacement under warranty process" no calls of what happened, or was it abused or wet or blah blah. just heres a new one have a nice day. out standing

to top it all off my binos and rangefinder showed up from the warranty center the same day as my new HS-T scope i just bought. freaking second Christmas over here! i have esentually made the switch to having all vortex items for my main hunting optics now. Razor 85 spotter, razor 10x42 binos. ranger 1000 and now a HS-T 4x16 scope for my 300. i will only buy vortex in the future. i know theres plenty of optics out there and many that may even be better. but bottom line is vortex offers a very high quality product and very good prices and stand behind there products and customers 100%.

Good to hear. I've never had to test the warranty, but I know it helped my resale when I decided to upgrade.

I recently bought a Viper HD 65 Spotter. Opened the box and the thing sucked (focus). Sent it back to Vortex and couple days later had a new one and it was perfect. Can't ask for much more. Same for me, no hassle, just fixed it. They make it easy, print off the form on their web site, send it back and they make it right. Everything I have is Vortex. 2 Sets of Viper HD Binos, 1 Viper HD Rifle Scope and one Viper HD spotter. Wouldn't change to another brand (in the price range).

I lost my 37mm digiscope adapter ring, emailed them asking if I could buy a new one explaining that I lost mine. My hope was to just buy a new one and not the entire kit, well they just asked for my address and a few days later a new 37mm adapter showed up in my mailbox. I emailed them back asking how much I owed because it was 100% my fault, they said don't worry about it we are just happy you like your vortex products.

Thats good to hear! good on em.
I just ordered a Vortex spotting scope should be here tamorrow. cannot wait to test it out!
I think I may havto convert to Vortex from what ive heard about them haha.
I had an old(3-5yrs) RX3 loopy rangefinder that stopped working. sent it back and they sent me a brand new RX1000 TBR. it was great. got to love warranties that companies actually stand by.

In my experience they literally set the bar (and set it HIGH) for customer service. Good optics, great customer service and reasonable prices.

Had a set of binocs where the eye cups simply stopped working correctly literally days before my clients arrived to hunt Coues deer. Called Vortex and they overnighted a set to use as replacements while mine were being repaired. I'm still amazed by that and I've purchased many new sets of binocs and spotting scopes since then. Top notch!!!

Earlier this winter I bought a rifle scope from them. I prefer not to say what I did to the scope but I messed it up. I even told them that it was 100% my fault and wondered what it would cost to fix it. The guy took my scope and said he would be back. When he came back he had a brand new in the box scope for me NO questions asked! Friend of mine forgot his binos at the base of his treestand overnight. Came back the next day and the squirrels ate the eyecups off. They replaced the entire bino no questions asked. Another friend left his binos on the back bumper after hunting for the evening and backed up over them splitting in two. They replaced for free. Amazing customer service and warranty. I guess it's also nice that there office is in my back yard!!

You really were waiting for some new stuff to come in the mail :)

Great to hear positive warranty experiences, makes me want to support those companies in the future!

have heard similar warranty stories on leupold. just think the vortex will be my next major purchase ,,if i can just get those other ideas out of my head .....

Had a ranger 1000 fall of hip belt Land on a rock and crack the objective, sent them back and received a brand new onto. The mail in about a week. Cannot beat that

Great customer service, my boy knocked my 8x42 Diamondbacks (bought in 2008) onto a concrete floor and messed up one of the twist ups, broke a screw, bent the ring. I had also noticed that they did not seem to focus so good after but carried on using them for a while. Emailed Vortex and they said send them in. 2 weeks later a brand new pair arrived on my doorstep, Blighty side of the Atlantic.

My next upgrade will definitely be Vortex!

Yea threads like this make me lean the vortex way. Happy with some gold ring hd, s but the razors are calling it
