I couldn't post this in the deals section because I'm too new but sportsman's warehouse has the sportsman razor gen 1 20-60x85 angled spotting scope for $750. I recently ordered a viper but found this so I cancelled that order.

If anybody wants to post this in the deals section for me that would be a solid move as well.

Anyone familiar with the differences between this one and the 27-60x85 that’s priced a fair amount higher?

As far as I know the Gen 2 is the same optics, just the newer green style. That’s a pretty solid deal on decent glass. I’ve used the 85, and it does fine. Obviously not Swaro, but for $750 I’d be pretty impressed at that price

Thanks. I thought that may be the case but all the different vortex models get confusing to me for some reason.

I'm tempted, not gonna lie I wasn't overly impressed with it when it was $1200.

But for $750 not sure you'd find anything close in value/performance.

Was going to hold out for a Kowa/Meopta but this is pretty damn tempting!

I pulled the trigger. I’ve had the both of the smaller razors in the past and they seemed fine for me. I could never justify over $1000 on a spotter unless I drew a nice sheep tag, but this put me over the edge. I think the 11-33x50’razor (or similar) and this one is a great combo and would meet most needs.

I have the Gen 2 that’s 27-60 with a 85 mm bell. I don’t really have anything great to say about it. In comparison to my Leica Trinovids, the Tris are by far brighter and clear.

Looks like a good price would also mention the Athlon Cronus 20-60x86 from Camera land was $850. More compact and a very impressive optic.

For $725 shipped with that 10% off code, kind of hard to pass up. I ordered one.
