Vintage Stealthcam and solar project.

This boat anchor of a trail cam runs on 6 D cell batteries and goes through them like poop through a goose! I rigged up a 1.5 watt solar panel, a 12 volt RC car batter with a 9V voltage regulator ( the one in the pic is a 12v regulator for another project). I have it set up where deer come through my yard as a trial run. So far so good. Trail cams have come so far from that era. LOL I think I bought this in the late 90's?!
