Sporting Arms of The World by Ray Bearsel is the definitive manual and reference work for both domestic sporting arms and those imported into the U.S. - rifles, shotguns & handguns. Published in 1976 by Harper & Row (Outdoor Life Book Club), the 461 pg. volume measures 8 5/8" x 11 1/4" and contains hundreds of illustrations., including schematics for many firearms.
My 1st edition copy is in like new, unread condition except for a couple small tears in the dust jacket from 40 years of shelf time. The original retail was $39.95
