Typically I use distilled water and Hornady's solution to cleanup my brass in an ultrasonic cleaner. Works well. Today, I accidentally picked up the distilled vinegar bottle along with my distilled water. The bottles look almost identical, from Walmart. Anyway, the solution was about 180 Oz all together with about 55 Oz of vinegar. So roughly 1/3. I've read that vinegar can leach some zinc from the brass. It was in this solution for probably 1.5 hrs and the solution was heated to 175 degrees. Once I realized this I rinsed with water and baking soda to neutralize the acid. The brass doesn't look pink or anything, am I ok or should scrap them? I'd be on my 4th fire so not the end of the world, but I'd like to get 5 firings at least. Using lapua brass and not annealing.
