Any Veterans or elk ticks here in northern Colorado looking to pair up with two other veterans for the 2021 archery elk hunt. We have a lot of rifle hunting knowledge growing up on the boarder of Utah in Colorado and chasing elk around the popular OTC units in our backyard before and after our 7 years in the Marine Corps and Colorado National Guard.
We're newer to the archery game however we've personally been in the rut during 1st rifle and most recently slammed two good bulls last 1st rifle 54 yards apart from each each other, shot was sub 40 yards on both bulls. Time to up the game and dampen the sound with shots. The peak rut is a new thing to us but its time to bite the bullet and fully commit to the pursuit with stick and strinh
We live up in FoCo and are weld inspectors down in Denver. If you're interested in getting together and doing some shooting at the 3D range here let us know. We've been scouting for months planning this trip hunt meticulously looking at switching it up from the lower land western elk hunts ,and getting above 8,800 ft into the darker timber. We have a few units in our sights and need to get boots on the ground and cams hung as soon as there is decent access by road into the GMU in late spring. If you're interested give us a shout. Cheers
