Vesper Scope Rings

Have a build with UM that should’ve finished soon, and had a question on what rings people are running on their Vespers. Mine will be long action, and preferably a 36mm ring to use one of my ZCO 4-20 scopes.

NX8 would be my backup in NF rings, but I use A419 rings normally and am pretty sure the match rings won’t properly fit on the rail. Has anyone tried their Hunt rings on the rail? If not, what rings are you using?

I have a Vesper SA, BAT bumblebee and Vampire(being very similar interrupted rail as Vesper LA). I use NF 4 screw ultralite rings. Beings yours at 36mm, the most dependable option would likely be the A419 hunt rings(1.2" height only). Hawkins makes lightweight rings in 36mm in several height options, but I've had issues with them coming lose on heavy recoil rifles. Zeiss(Tier One) also has a 36mm ring, but it's only 1.06 tall. These are your choices for lightweight hunting 36mm rings. I'd go A419 myself.

Thanks, I have both in match rings now. I guess I’ll just wait until the gun ships to figure out exactly what works. How many cross slots does your Vesper have?

I’ve seen some people say some have 2 some have 3. I wasn’t sure if tha was a difference between long and short action.

Vesper Short has one rear and 3 up front. Believe the Vesper Long is same. Vesper M has 2 rear, and 4 front.

Vampire has 4 rear, 5 front.
