Velvet buck in late November

A guy in my hunt lease shot this on November 30 in northern Missouri. Nothing to speak of size wise but he was so shocked to see a buck in velvet still that he had to take it. 25 years and I have never seen one in velvet so late. MDC Biologist said it was most likely due to a testosterone issue. Pretty cool either way.

Couple guys I let shotgun hunt my ground shot this guy I think it was two years ago. The date on my trail camera pic is wrong; but anyways they shot him in December during gun season in Iowa. This was the first time I’d seen such a thing. Pretty crazy.
