That's right. I've always known the longbow is the slower design. I just wanted to quantify that with two bows I have on hand. Thought it was share worthy.I wouldn't expect anything other than that result. A one piece longbow vs an ILF isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison.
I know I lose about a half inch going from my recurve (Southwest Spyder XL, mid/high wrist) to my longbow, an ASL with a straight grip. I'm guessing you're losing more like 1/4" or so with your longbow.That's a good point. I never really considered that, but the lower grip probably gives up a bit of DL.
