Velcro on T2 waist belt

Not really sure what the Velcro is supposed to be used for. Seems like it would be noisy. Haven't had a chance to put it to use yet.

It holds my kifaru universal gunbearer in place. Not sure if its there for other reasons or not.

my new duplex frame has velcro as well. i wondered the same thing...

I'm still not sure what it is for. Has anyone noticed the velcro making noisy? I haven't had a chance to take mine out yet.

It's for an older style pouch. Kifaru tries not to obsolete things so there is velcro on your belt to use the old pouches.

I think the Velcro is on the back side of the strap to keep the padded portion of the belt in place when the belt is tensioned. It tends to grab the pad when the belt is tight. Some packs have had problems with the pad sliding up or down when tightened. Never had my kifaru belt pad move when tightened.
