I kept hearing about this site on various podcasts, figured I ought to check it out.
I started hunting at 8 years old with my dad, so I've been at it on and off for about 25 years.
I have the great fortune to live in BC, and even greater fortune to have a wife who perhaps doesn't understand, but does accept my need to be in the woods whenever possible. As a result, I spend a lot of time chasing blacktails and bears, camping, dirtbiking, 4x4ing, etc.
I've dabbled in bowhunting, but my success so far is 2 dead grouse out 5 arrows released in hunger.
Other than hunting, my longest running passion in life is old toyota 4x4s. I've had the gamut, from a stock '82 pickup, eventually built with 36" swampers and an exo, to a '94 xtra cab pickup, as built as it can get on "stock" toyota axles with 38" tires, to my current 92 4runner "I swear it's a hunting truck sweetheart!" Which looks stockish but is well armoured, lockers, and a hot rodded winch.
