Utah Spring Turkey General Areas?

Hello everyone.

A friend is flying into Utah to go on his first turkey hunt. While I hunt big game frequently I don't hunt turkey much (and never in Utah).

We were thinking of going up into the raft river mountain range, but I have never been there before personally.

Any suggestions as to areas/ranges to go or avoid in Utah for Spring Turkey? All areas in the state are welcome (distance or hiking is no concern), and greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for the help.

@mtnrunner260 We're headed out of SLC, but distance isn't the worry if that's why you're asking.

We hiked up hobble creek this evening near springville, saw plenty of deer but no sign of turkey.

@PVHunter i'm with you, but easier routes to a non-turkey hunter are worth attempting :)

Should be a great adventure. I've had the Rafts in mind for a turkey trip but haven't made it out there. Been out other times and it is neat country.
