Used SLC Deal

I found a used pair of SLC 10x42 in really good shape for $1,000. The serial number puts the date of manufacture in 2003. Is this a good deal or should I pass?

I would spend the extra $100-$200 and get a 2010 or newer model.

Local SLC listed by me is about the same age but was sent in to Swaro and reserialized after replacing everything. They are listed at $1300 - I believe that service would cost more than $300.

Make sure you familiarize yourself with and can tell the difference between the swarovision and pre-swarovision models before you pull the trigger.
