Used Kimber Mtn Ascent value?

There is a used Kimber Mtn Ascent in 280AI at my local Sportsmans they are asking $1580 for. The gun has some use on it for sure, marks on the barrel, scratched stock, I didnt look anything else over. Does that sound like a fair price? I see them going for cheaper in the classifieds here. I am tempted to get the gun for a potential sheep rifle but dont want to over pay for it. Thanks in advance.

Seems fair. I ask myself in this market if it really matters and if it’s worth getting worked up over if I pay $100 too much for something that’s going to last a lifetime?

That’s about average, before all the BS a mountain ascent could be had new for slightly more than that price. Even just a year ago you could get used ones for good prices, I got my mountain ascent 300 win mag here on rokslide for 1100.00 and I honestly couldn’t tell it had been used. A guy I know just paid over 2k for the same thing.
