Hey looking for any inside information to help me with my Unit 9 archery Elk tag. Not looking for exacts but never been there and any info would be appreciated.

Not to be a downer but elk in this unit have been very difficult to find but they are there. Do you have the early hunt or late?

Anyone have any luck in Unit 9? We head out in a couple weeks. Appreciate any suggestions you/anyone can offer up. Not from the area so any help someone is able to provide is appreciated.

Yep, i was expecting the same thing. No replies. Too bad we didnt give them GPS coords of where the elk are. Then maybe we could see some pics. lol

Wasn't trying to get someone's "honey hole" just trying to gather information and research as much as I can ahead of time to make the most of the 4 days we will be there.

Camp site, etc.

texaselk, then that's exactly what you should ask! We are not mind readers here, this goes for all you guys out there that ask generic questions & assuming all the blanks will automatically be filled in! ASK for what you need to know, it will help your cause immensely!

p.s. don't say I'm not looking for your honet-hole because that's pretty much what you're wanting with that approach. Just saying!

100% spot on. And if someone is good enough to share some hard earned info/techniques/strategy or whatever with you it's probably a good idea to come back on and give thanks and a little re-cap of your hunt. Super annoying when someone comes on asks for help then falls off the face of the earth. Especially when it's a hunt for their kid, dad, neighbor with one elk season to live etc....

Doesn’t really matter what info someone gives. Not sure that a honey hole exists in this unit anymore. Think it’s down to single digit success rates now.
