Hello everyone, i have a cow tag for unit 44/45/52 in Idaho but I'm focusing on 44/45. I’ve been up there once this year to the spots we usually see them this time of year however we didn’t see a single animal other than some deer. We were around the 6500 ft mark. There isn’t much snow at all yet however it’s consistently been below freezing every night. Do you think they have moved down yet and they are already below us or are we too early for that low of elevation and they are above us. Thanks

Coming from unit 45 ever since this hunt started a few years ago it seems like they drop off to Anderson ranch reservoir shortly after it starts. Other than that I’m not up there too much this time of year.

After this hunt opened a few years ago and they trapped and transplanted a bunch the numbers have really been down! If there's not alot of snow they could still be up high. But there's a really good chance they could be over in 39 now too. My advise find green fields and hope they are using them.

Good evening my daughter has a cow elk tag in 44 Nov 10 -30 was wondering if you have any insight on camping areas for either a trailer house or a wall tent that would have decent access on a UTV. Thanks
