Heard about this documentary on Netflix from a podcast with the Meat Eater crew. I know y'all, like me, are always dreaming about your next adventure. I love public land so much, and this doc has a ton of emphasis on keeping our public land public. It also addresses both sides of the wild horse and burro act without leaning to far one way or another. Any of y'all watched? It's really well done.

Yep great movie. .I just missed passing them when they went through the Yellowstone meadows/hawks rest region. .I was in there with my pack string and left a day before they came in. .the old timer in the movie Val who helps them a ton. .is an absolutely great guy and I've got to spend time with him way up in the wilderness where he and his wife watch the forest service cabin at Hawks Rest each summer

I remember reading an article about it in western horseman before it came out. I watched it be really liked it. I'm still not sure why the one guy decided to not finish when he was so close. Go al that way to stop a mile or 2 from the end just doesn't really compute with me but to each their own I guess.

Me and horses dont tend to get along .... I had a bad experience .... but this is the type of flick that got me almost excited to give it another go.

Maybe ill ease myself in with pack llamas first....?

Great movie! Awesome filming of unbelievable scenery. I wonder how that one horse died towards the end of the trip though???

It really seemed to me like he knew how much it meant to the lead guy to all finish together and he just wanted to throw a wrench in it.

I read about this in Western Horseman while they were doing the ride, then bought the book before the film was released, then bought the film when it came out. There is a lot of good info in the book that wasn't included in the movie. This is an awesome documentary to raise awareness for public lands and wild horses and has done a bunch of good for both. I wish I had the guts to do this when I was their age and still living free from responsibility! :) Watching this gets me excited and motivated to go have an adventure, we've had mustangs for years and watching them go through what we've experienced with those horses makes me chuckle every time.

Amazing movie. One thing that really stuck out to me was the emotion you could see in Val towards those men. Val wasn't in it much but he really stood out to me.
